Questioning the Materiality of Existence

Assalamualaikum and a very good day to all,

What defines us as "being alive" and "real"? Is it because of the phrase "seeing is believing"? If that's the case then blind people won't be "alive" and the phrase "looks can be deceiving" won't be coined. If we believe we are "real" because of our five senses, then people that possess less than five senses (blind, deaf, mute, etc.) would become less "real" then.

Are the things we see really is as they are? Are the things we touch, smell, taste, hear are really as they are? All of these are actually can be deceptive as all of these things we experience are all comes from the electric pulses sent from our skin, eyes, ears, nose and tongue to the brain.

How will you response if all the things we interact with, seeing, hearing, smell, taste and touch is not real? How will you response if the the "real" you is actually just a piece of brain in a box being fed by pulses that simulates all the senses?

Actually, this theory is not really original. It's been debated by many people. One of them is Harun Yahya which also have written many books with one of them referring to this issue. And there's even a movie made from this perception that's famous. And I think many people knew the title. It's "The Matrix". In the movie it shown that the main character originally being hooked to a huge machine and it simulates a "world" which he thought was real until he's approached by Morpheus. And then the rest is history. Just go and watch the movie for the full story.

Anyway, this will eventually will bring on some of the issues that has been questions by Atheists and some people as well such as the existence of Heaven and Hell, angels, Satan and his minions, genies and of course, god.

If this theory is applied, then the existence of all beings stated above will be plausible which actually is REAL especially god and His name is Allah which does not equal to any other beings in existence nor have anything equals to Him other than Himself.

If you believe in this theory everything that has been explained in the Quran about His powers and His abilities are easy to understand as He can give us anything or take away anything from us just by sending in impulse into our "brains" which in this case may be even actually just a piece of microchip on a motherboard.

We don't even know if we are actually just pieces of microchips placed on a huge motherboard which simulates our "life". We can't possibly knew this as our senses are limited to only the impulses sent to our brains.

But, whatever it is, the world we are living is not only consists of materials. There's also souls, spirits etc, etc which we can't conform their existence except if the said items can be sensed using our senses which in turn sent the data to the brain, and conform that the said items exist. And thus, it also can be said "it's all in your head". Hehehehehehe........

I think that's all I have to say for now.
Till then shall we meet again.....

Top four reasons why Herald shall not use "Allah" in its Malay Edition

Assalamualaikum and a very good day to all,
It's been quite some time since the last time I posted here. But now I think I do need to say regarding this issue as I am also quite disappointed by some Muslims that supported the notion. And here's why I am against it.

1. The word "God" in English does not translated to "Allah" in Malay. In Malay the word "Tuhan" is the correct translation, not "Allah".

2. "Allah" is an Arabic word, not Malay if one to argue that Bible in Middle East used "Allah" in their version. But from what I know, the word "Allah" is coined by the Muslims when Islam was introduced by Prophet Muhammad (PBUH).

3. Further for those Muslims who supports Herald, I come up with this. The phrase "La Ila Ha il Allah" in Arabic means "There is no God but Allah" in English and "Tiada Tuhan selain Allah" in Malay. And Muslims in Malaysia are being told by religious figures not to say "La Ilah" as it means "Tiada Tuhan" or "No God". This can be said that even in Arabic "Allah" does not refer to "God" as the proper, correct translation for "God" in Arabic is "Ilahi/إله ", not "Allah".

4. And, as I speak, there are also Christians that tries to dispose Islam's claim as being the continuation from the original teachings of Prophet Isa/Jesus by saying that Christian do not use "Allah" in their reference for God. Don't believe me? Use Google and search and I guarantee that you will found the disclaimer by the said Christians.

I think that's all I have to say for now.
Till then shall we meet again.....

The Muslims' Dilemma

Assalamualaikum and a very good day to all,

1. I have just heard the word "hubbuddunya" from IKIM.fm yesterday morning and got the idea to write down this one. The word means "loves the worldly possession" (if I remembered correctly).

2. And I seen that this disease is what have plagued the Muslims from most parts of the world today (especially the leaders of the so-called Muslim countries around the world and the OIC president).

3. What is so difficult to help other Muslims when they are in dire need of our help? (Palestine as the best example in this case.) They only willing to help AFTER Gaza has been bombed for a whole month and thousands of lives have been lost.

4. What's the point of doing this? Close to none when Egypt didn't help us and helped Israel to blockade Gaza instead.

5. And I'm only saying about Gaza here. Not including West Bank which suffers more from Israeli evil deeds when Israel decided to expand their illegal settlements and continued to build the Aparteid Wall along the borders between Israel and West Bank (which actually built to confiscate more lands from the Palestinians in West Bank).

6. So who's to be blamed here? I blamed everyone who didn't arm themselves each time our fellow Muslims being harrased and massacred in Gaza and West Bank (including myself, which I cried when I realised my own weakness in this matter).

7. And most of all, I blame rich Muslims who had the money but not willing to sacrifice their wealth for the good of Islam. They are only willing to collect more wealth for themselves and ignoring other fellow poor Muslims.

8. This is one of the reasons why most of them are not willing to help Palestine. They afraid of losing their wealth. They have piled up their wealth (enough to feed a poor country for 10 years) yet they are not willing to help other Muslims to defend themselves against the evil occupiers (Palestine and Chechya as example).

9. This is getting embarrassing for Islam as one of the religions with most believers in the world (2nd most believers to be exact. Yeah, you heard that right). So many believers yet so weak against Zionists Jews in Israel & Russia (which only accounts for less than 20 million around the world).

10. We have to do something here. But first, I encourage the Muslims to topple the fellow Muslim countries' leaders who are not aligned with Islam in the first place and replace with someone who follows the true Islam to ease the struggle (use peaceful means first, through elections. Arms struggle last). Especially in Egypt where the current President is aligning with Israel and some Middle-Eastern countries where their leaders is aligning themselves with the enemies of Islam (US - directly aligned, Israel - indirectly aligned).

I think that's all I want to say right now. Till then shall we meet again.

And some issues here....

Assalamualaikum and good day to all,

So this is gonna be my first post for this year (according to Gregorian calender) 2008 and gonna be the last post for this year (according to Hijri calender) 1428.  I just remembered one of the minor things that many modern Muslim women tend to ignore: the Hijab (also known as 'tudung' in Malay). Most of them who refused to wear Hijab tend to say, "Hijab is outdated", or they also might say "we must follow the latest trend, Hijab is uncool to wear, it looks old" and so on. So to those women, let me say this: Hijab is actually a new trend together with clothes that covers Aurat if we look back in history.

Some might argue with my point here.

They might say "hey, it's already more than 1400 years old already!!".

What?? it's that old??

Yup. The fashion is already more than 1400 years old but based from my research, the fashion which do not have Hijab on and does not cover the Aurat has been much, much, much older than that. If you don't believe me you can do the research yourself and you will find that type of fashion which the Westerners boast as 'new' fashions is more than 4000 years old. And what's more, even the Western historians tend to draw depictions of people from past civilisations [as old as the Stone Age, if it ever existed(refer to here)] as wearing minimum clothes that only cover their private parts!!

So, for those women out there, if you REALLY want keep up with latest fashion, choose to wear Hijab and clothes that covers your Aurat. It's 1400+ years old, but newer than clothes that did not include Hijab and does not cover your Aurat which is 4000+ years old fashion. For men out there, tell your women this too if you wanted your women to keep up with the REAL latest fashion. With this way, you are not only keeping up with the latest fashion, you're also pleasing the Almighty and our beloved Apostle, Muhammad S.A.W. (pbuh) by following His commands (on clothing only for this case).

So, women, BE COOL, CHOOSE TO WEAR HIJAB AND COVER YOUR AURAT!!!

On the other hand, regarding the latest issue, many people may already know about the presidential race in US to select the new US president, dubbed "the most powerful seat in the world". But for me, I say that it's not entirely correct to say that. I think some of you may not know about how this presidential race is going on. So I'm gonna tell you how.

The US presidential election starts with those who wants to represent their party (there are only 2 parties in US, Republican and Democrat). Then they collect donations or funds for the candidate nominations. In this case, the donations are coming from many sources, and the most prominent of them all comes from pro-Israel organisations such as American Israel Public Affairs Committee aka AIPAC (the most powerful lobby in US) which also provides most of the funds for the presidential candidates. So, the candidates have to please those with the most money (in this case AIPAC) in order to get funds for their campaign.

So, it is clear who are the most powerful: the ones who provides funds for the presidential campaign or in other words AIPAC which represents the Zionists in the White House.

And, before you start to blame Jews for this, let me make it clear here: the ones at fault here are Zionists, not Jews as there are also Jews that also anti-Israel.

Wait? am I saying that I'm defending the Jews?

No. Of course not. But I wanted you to know well your enemies before you start attacking them without a valid reason. There are also Christian Zionists in case you haven't noticed. But as we all know, almost all of Zionists are Jews (I use 'almost' as there may be non-Jews that also a Zionist). So, don't believe any word that the next president of US will help to stop attacks on the Palestinians by Israel.  Erm, I think that's all I have to say for now. Till then shall we meet again...

Annapolis meeting: an insult to muslims

Assalamualaikum to all,
If I remembered correctly, it's almost a month since the Annapolis meeting between Israel and Palestinian Authority with US as the mediator. For the meeting, I can say that it's a complete insult to the Palestinian people and the Islamic world as the meeting was never meant to solve the problems that the Palestinians face since the creation of Israel until now. If someone ask me why, then my answer is the contents  of the meeting did not even mention the right of return for the Palestinians which Israel never and will never ever agree to as the right of return means that the Jews have to give up the land they consfiscated from the Palestinians. And what's more, in the Annapolis meeting, Israel is supposed to halt building new settlements in Palestine occupied territories and the Palestinian Authority has to crackdown resistance. But, just like US, Israel blantantly broke the deal with handing the contracts to build 300 new settlements in annexed East Jerusalem to the developers.

So, what can we say here? I just can say one thing: if Israel cannot agree to co-existing with the Palestinians, which they don't, then I can only repeat the phrase that Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, the Iranian Premier, has spoken before (even though it is said to be mistranslated into English by western press, according to himself) : Israel must be wiped off the map! That's the only thing that I can say to Israel. And I don't know why the Islamic countries have agreed to attend the meeting as their agreement to attend it shows that they approved of Israel. And especially Malaysia, as the OIC chairman to attend it, is a complete insult to muslims and the Palestinians especially as the Fatah faction that they called to the meeting does not represent the Palestinians at all. They're not even a legal government. The legal government of Palestinian Authority is supposed to be Hamas as they are the one who won the majority in the last election in Palestine. So, what's your opinion about this issue? If you have anything to say regarding this issue, just post your comment. I'll be gladly to hear it. For more information, you can surf these websites:
